Understand your name and username
Your profile uses both your full name and a separate username.
The large profile heading is your username. The photo card shows your first and last name.
What to do
- Use Edit profile → The basics to change your first and last name. Both fields are required.
- Use the Username field to change the name in your profile link.
- Save your changes and check the profile preview.

Good to know
Friends can search by first name, last name, full name, or username. Existing Google name suggestions can be corrected before saving.
