Messages
Use the Messages pop-out or full page
Keep a conversation beside the page you are viewing.
On a wide desktop, Messages opens as a panel on the right. Smaller screens use the full Messages page.
What to do
- Open Messages from the navigation or a friend’s profile.
- Choose a conversation, or use the compose icon to start one.
- Use the diagonal-arrow control in the panel header to open that conversation full page.
- Use the close control to hide the panel when you want more room.

Account controls will ask you to sign in.
Good to know
Changing ordinary social pages keeps the open panel in place. Sign-in, account/security, Family Center, and game pages can use a full page load.
